xScope gives you access to a collection of tools which come in handy if you need to measure distances on your desktop, zoom in an area of your screen, learn info regarding Unicode characters, and so much more.

The program comes with a toolbar which is placed on top of other running apps and can be hidden from your screen if necessary.

xScope also provides you with a menu which is placed on your status bar as soon as you launch the app. So, you can hide the main toolbar from your desktop and access the aforementioned menu when you need to work with one of the integrated tools.

Another great thing about this program is that it comes with a comprehensive help manual. This guide might prove to be of good use if you're new to this type of programs as it provides you with all the information you could possibly need.

The application comes in handy to graphic designers who wish to check if the app they created fit a certain resolution profile (for instance, the iPhone display). It also helps them identify Unicode characters, measure distances on their screens, etc.

In my testing, the program worked perfectly. Plus, I didn't really need to access the built-in help manual to figure out how the app works. So, it's pretty intuitive and can easily be used by people with little computer experience.

Cutting a long story short, xScope is a simple and helpful Mac utility that works great, offers you plenty of useful features, and comes with a fair price.
