Revealer is a simple Mac application that provides you with a quick and easy way to display files that are normally hidden on your computer, such as .DS_Store, .localized, .htaccess, etc. The program comes with a very intuitive interface, features an integrated help guide, and comes without a price tag.
This utility contains two main screens, one for showing or concealing the hidden files and another for displaying the Library folder (it's hidden by default from the Finder app). Just move the sliders to their ON or OFF positions and that's it. So, the only reason why you'd need to check the help guide would be to learn the risks you're putting yourself to by altering these hidden files.
In my testing, the app worked flawlessly. It immediately applied the changes and didn't slow down my Mac in the process.
The one thing I'd change about this Mac program would be to add an option to define global hotkeys. These shortcut keys would be great for immediately revealing or hiding the aforementioned files from your Mac.
All in all, you should try Revealer if you're looking for a quick solution for showing the hidden files from your Mac.
