iconStiX is a program that helps you design your own icons for the directories from your Mac. The application enables you to attach pictures, text content, and geometrical shapes to your new icon, allows you to add multiple layers to your graphic project and lets you export the results to various image formats.

You can drag-and-drop images from your local directories over the icon's preview screen and start altering your project. The utility lets you add multiple types of elements to your new icons, each with their own set of output configurations. You can add shadows to the loaded pictures, rotate geometrical shapes at any angle you like and much more.

Once you finish working on your icon project you can export it to formats such as ICNS, PNG, TIFF, ICONSET, etc. Furthermore, you can change the icon of a folder directly from iconStiX's interface. This task can easily be completed by simply going to File -> Attach Custom Icon and selecting the directory in question.

Another important advantage is the fact that you can undo as many project alterations as you like. You can undo icon modifications by going to Edit -> Undo or by hitting the Command+Z keys.
