ibVPN (or Invisible Browsing VPN) is a client app that connects through the VPN service of the same name.

It has a simple interface, but not as straightforward as those of other VPN clients. As this is a paid service, it requires using an account created beforehand. It is good that it gives you two options, which means that you can either let the app pick the fastest server for you or choose any other server yourself. As you will see, it has an extensive network of more than 180 servers located in all geographical regions; still, not as many as the top services of this kind.

One of the first things to look at in a VPN service is security. In this regard, ibVPN supports multiple protocols, such as OpenVPN and SSTP; moreover, it uses such a strong algorithm as AES 256-bit. Excellent news is that it comes with a killswitch, which is meant to prevent data leaks in case the connection is lost. However, there are reports of DNS leaks. Regrettably, unlike other VPN services, it does not support split tunneling.

Most of the users are concerned about their private information ending in the wrong hands. In this respect, ibVPN promises to protect it by following a no-logging policy, meaning that they do not track your activities. However, they do request information when you create an account. So, in addition to the email address usually required by other providers, you will also be asked to supply a name, but they will not know if you are using a fake one, of course.

The services also have other advantages, such as an integrated ad blocker and a smart DNS proxy. They provide a decent speed most of the times; however, it has been reported as negatively impacting on bandwidth, particularly when the selected server is far from your actual location. Finally, it is pity that it cannot let you bypass Netflix’s geo-restrictions.

All things considered, ibVPN is not the best VPN provider; still, it is not the worst either. It comes with various very convenient features that allow you to hide your real VPN and browse the web anonymously. The service is available through various plans: Standard, Ultimate, Torrent and Smart DNS. All of them can be purchased to be used for only a day at a very reasonable price.
