Protect your online privacy as well as bypass geo-restrictions.

hide.me VPN can help you protect your online privacy as well as bypass geo-restrictions that prevent you from accessing contents from your current location. As all the other similar applications, this one is just a client that uses a virtual private network to reroute data traffic through an intermediary service.

The tool has a straightforward interface and establishing the desired connection is just a matter of clicking a button. However, before that, you need to create an account. Luckily, it is possible to connect through either the fastest server available or your desired fake location. In this respect, the service lets you connect from 60 different locations. Moreover, it has an extensive network of more than 1560 servers distributed throughout various continents, except Africa. Unfortunately, there are no specialized servers, like those used by other VPN services to access Netflix and Tor contents.

As most other VPN services, hide.me VPN uses various protocols, including IKEv1, OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/Ipsec and SoftEther, which you have the chance to choose. Likewise, it uses such a strong encryption algorithm as AES-256. What is more, it also offers IP leak protection, automatic kill switch, unlimited server switching and split tunneling, which makes it one of the most complete services in this respect. On top of that, they claim that no logs of your activities are kept.

In general, hide.me VPN is not too different from other similar tools. Although this is mostly a paid service, which is available in various plans, it is excellent news that it is possible to use it at no cost. In this respect, there is a free plan offering up to 500 MB of data transfer, which can be renewed every two weeks. However, if you want more, you will probably need to pay a price higher than that of the competition.
