Gem Blocks is a matching game for Mac where your goal is to clear the board by pairing up same-color tiles. The more squares you match and eliminate from the board, the higher your final result gets and the more chances you have to overcome other players' scores.
The app brings an intuitive interface and nice colorful graphics. Personally, I would like the app more if it provided me with an option to adjust the noise volume or disable the sound completely.
You can play this game by using your mouse and arranging same-color tiles in groups so that they can be eliminated from the board. The faster you clear out the board, the higher your score gets.
An annoying aspect about playing this game is the fact that the whole game screen moves when you slide blocks side to side. On top of that, you cannot save your game progress, hence you have to start from scratch if you quit the app.
To sum things up, Gem Blocks is a puzzle game that comes in handy during work breaks. However, the aforementioned flaws are quite important and for this reason I suggest you to look for other similar apps if you wish to have a relaxing and fault-free game experience.
