Typinator is a very useful typing assistant for the Mac. It allows you to cut down on the time you spend typing frequent words and sentences. It does this by allowing you to create snippets of text that are called upon when you type a set abbreviation. These abbreviations will often consists of a couple of letters or even a full word, and you can configure Typinator to replace your abbreviations with as much text as you want. For example, on the website, they show how writing a feedback letter is as simple as inputting a few abbreviations. They use an abbreviation for their signature, one for the text of the body, and another one for the title.
Typiniator can insert plain text, formatted text, and even images into your word processor. You can use it on a word processor, web browser, or even e-mail client.
Adding new abbreviations and editing existing ones is very easy. You simply type the abbreviation and the text that you want to use. You can also change the behaviour of Typinator when adding a snippet of text. For example, you can set where you want the cursor to be after the text is inserted or even add the date to the snippet automatically.
There is a lot that can be done with this app, and it becomes extremely useful when you find yourself typing the same text over and over again.
