PhotoScissors 2.0

PhotoScissors is a program that provides you with an easy and quick solution for extracting elements (a person, object, etc.) from pictures.

This application comes as an alternative to working with Photoshop's Wand tool and is designed for Mac users who don't have much experience in manipulating pictures on their computers.

The utility brings you a straightforward interface, works with various image formats (JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, etc.), supports drag-and-drop action, and much more. You can easily get the results you need by tracing green lines over the object you wish to extract and red ones for the background image (which you want to be removed).

This app also provides you with several options that come in handy when polishing the resulted picture (smooth boundary, offset the boundary, drop shadow, etc.). If the final result matches your needs, you can export the picture to the preferred output format to your local folders.

My only concern regarding this image editor is the fact that it doesn't offer you any support for photo formats like PSD, DNG, etc.

As for the rest, PhotoScissors is a simple yet efficient image editor that helps you cut out objects from your favorite pictures. Though, I'd say it's worth trying this app on your Mac as long as the aforementioned flaw doesn't mean much to you.
