Developed by ThnkDev, Pearl is a simple software tool whose main and single functionality is to preview the portrait of the person who sits in from of the webcam. The image is shown on the desktop and it can be easily moved or simply resized.

Like most of the nowadays instalments, this one follows the same simple steps. A few mouse clicks on the 'Next' button and you're ready to go. The first impression about its main user interface is not great. It's located the top menu bar and it has a few basic tabs and it comes with limited configuration options. Also, at times, the preview image tends to load a bit slow.

To start using Pearl, all you have to do is to allow it to use your webcam, then simple start the program. Pearl will start your webcam and will preview the image from the front of the camera. Either it's a person, or an animal, or simply your empty room, it will be previewed in a circle shape on your desktop.

From there, users are able to apply basic customizations, to resize it, drag it, or apply multiple video input options. In case you want to speed up the whole process, you can set up your own keyboard shortcut from the program's main menu.

Overall, Pearl can be described as a fun way to use your webcam.
