PassGen is a customizable password generator. The user can select which characters are to be used in each password (i.e. uppercase letters, lowercase letter, number, symbols, and/or any other specified characters), which character(s) should separate passwords from each other (a new line, a tab space, or something else), the number of characters in the password, and the number of passwords to generate. The resulting list of passwords is written to a text file in a user-specified location. The program also contains an advanced feature, revealed by the in-app help, to create multiple text files, each with a specified number of passwords.
Despite the emphasis on volume, the interface does not appear to support the entry of numbers of more than four digits in length; numbers 10,000 or greater can only be entered using arrow buttons on the side of the field that increment by one. This appears to be a glitch, since the help refers explicitly to the creation of 10 million passwords in one go.
It's unclear to me why one would need such a long list of passwords. Perhaps a developer might find this ideal for a particular use, but there are certainly other tools better suited for consumers.
