Nottingham is a lightweight application which allows you to create and edit text files.
Designed with the beginner user in mind, this is an efficient and safe way through which one can store text data.

Nottingham is not a very feature-rich application, so you shouldn't have high expectations. It is just a little enhanced version of TextEdit. Basically, the main difference between these two applications is interface-related. For example, unlike its Macintosh brother, Nottingham allows you to choose different colors for your texts and for the background, while the files are automatically saved when you decide to create a new document. Furthermore, this piece of software allows you to easily organize your notes, attach various tags to them and change their label color.

TextEdit's basic functions, such as Spelling and Grammar, Speech and Find are also integrated in Nottingham's interface. The possibility to sync your documents to your iPhone and the web via Simplenote is probably the only feature that makes the user think it's worth paying for the program.

To sum it all up, Nottingham is an elegant, yet simple word processor, which can help you store your texts in an interactive and editable way.
