Monosnap is a helpful program that enables you to make snapshots and video recordings of your screen activity.
The Menu Bar app provides you with numerous screenshot configurations and easy-to-set recording settings. For instance, when it comes to recording videos, you can choose to record webcam activity, opt for a specific system audio source, or select to include the microphone stream into the recording.
An advantage of this application is that, after you take snapshots of your screen, it offers you plenty of image editing tools. You can blur, resize, crop, and add effects to the screenshots with just a few clicks.
Nevertheless, the program brings some disadvantages: it supports only two image formats (JPEG and PNG) and one video file extension (MP4). Plus, you need to make in-app purchases in order to store files using the cloud service.
Still, the aforementioned flaws don't matter much if you take into consideration the fact that similar apps come with a price tag and fewer features. Therefore, it's worth trying Monosnap whenever you require to take screenshots or make video recordings.

I was surprised, how many tools this software provides. I used Jing earlier, now I prefer Monosnap. Sadly, it is not totally free, but it is definitely worth purchase.
I was surprised with the possibilities of this free tool. I do not use cloud services, so their paid availability didn't spoil my impression from the app. But this point can surely be a noticeable disadvantage. Still, taking into account that the rest of the program is free, I would not complain on that.
