The main window of the utility can be accessed by clicking its Menu Bar icon. There, you can enter your notes, mark items as Favorites, and define global hotkeys for immediately creating a new entry.
Furthermore, the program features an integrated search tool that helps you find a note within its records.
The developers of MiniNote provide you with a Pro version which you can buy from the Mac App Store and offers you additional features (ability to sync data across iOS devices, detachable window, text styling, etc.). This tool comes with a reasonable price and I'd say it's worth acquiring it if you require the aforementioned capabilities.
All in all, MiniNote proves to be a reliable solution when it comes to keeping track of important details in your life, whether they're work or personal related. And since the app comes without a price tag, I can't find any reasons why you shouldn't try it on your Mac and check if it meets your requirements.
