KeyUp 1.0 beta

KeyUp is a program displays a keyboard on your desktop.

  DOWNLOAD Free

KeyUp displays a virtual keyboard on your desktop and lets you use your mouse pointer or touch screen to type.

This keyboard utility can input text anywhere on your screen, like in your default browser or word processor, provides you with various sound effects, and stays on top of other running programs for easier access.

Once you launch the application on your Mac, a new icon appears in your status bar. By clicking this icon you reveal the virtual keyboard on your desktop. The utility lets you choose from various sound profiles that simulate the noise you make when writing with an old typewriter or on an iOS device.

You can also adjust the opacity level of the virtual keyboard, change its theme, hide its Menu Bar icon if necessary.

Even though it provides you with various features, I still don't think it's worth installing it on your Mac. OS X comes with a default virtual keyboard which can be accessed by clicking the language selection icon from your Menu Bar (if the icon isn't shown in your status bar, go to System Preference menu).

In conclusion, it doesn't worth installing this third-party app on your computer. However, if you want to, you can give it a try and see how it works; you have nothing to lose by installing it on your Mac as it's free of charge.
