Image Tricks is an image editing application for the Mac. It is not an editor like Photoshop. It helps you apply various effects and filters to your pictures in an easy way.
Image Tricks (Image Tricks Lite at the App Store) has quite a few effects, or, as they call them, "tricks", that you can apply to images. This version has 77 effects and filters, 35 quartz compositions, 13 image generators, and some 10 masks. That is a lot of variety for a free app.
Another reason why this app seems to be popular is because it is incredibly easy to use. You simply load an image into the application and click on any filter or effect that you want to add from the list on the left. There are three main tabs: Filters, Quartz and Generators. For each "trick", you can customize something. For example, if you apply 'motion blur' to an image, you can specify from which angle you want it to originate and the radius of the effect.
All in all, this is a great image edition app that is easy to use and has lots of effects.

A fine application, allows easy image editing. I used it to make a picture quiz for a party.
A nice tool for creating quick congratulation cards. It has a good variety of effects, which are easily applied. Kids enjoy playing with the whirl effect. This is a tool for creating fun pictures quickly. I enjoyed working with it.
