HexEdit 2.2

HexEdit is a small Mac application that, as its name clearly states, allows you to edit any file you might have stored on your Mac, regardless of its type or size.

This tool can come in handy if you want to edit the binary data of computer files in a simple and fast manner.

Using the HexEdit is very easy. All you have to do after launching this application is simply to provide the path of the desired file and, once you have done that, you can easily start editing the values directly from the interface. Even though the name of this tool suggests that it can only handle hexadecimal values, it can successfully manipulate files in decimal and ASCII with no problems whatsoever.

Furthermore, with the help of the HexEdit, you can instantly disassemble the PPC code, create and edit RSRC forks with just a few clicks of a mouse. You can even use this tool to quickly compare any files (by bytes, words or longs) and view their differences or matches in no time.

Other than that, HexEdit comes with a simple and friendly interface (available in various colors) and, even though you don't have access to an actual preferences or settings menu, you can easily modify several parameters, like using "Overwrite" mode or using decimal addresses for each line via the "Options" menu.
