GoodSync is a utility that enables you to back up or sync files between your computer and other Macs, smartphones, Google Drive account, FTPs, portable drives, and many others. This tool provides you with a wide range of useful features, comes with easy-to-configure settings, and immediately back up your data.
Before using this program on your Mac you need to create a personal GoodSync account. You can do that directly from the app's interface. The application will save the entered credentials and automatically log you in every time you launch the utility on your Mac.
You can easily create new tasks. Simply click the "New Job" button, select the type of task you want the app to complete (sync or backup), and the new chore will be added to the main window of the app. Then, all you need to do is to select the source and secondary folders and click the "Analyze" and "Sync" buttons. Unfortunately, the "Analyze" task might take a while to complete, especially if you're creating a sync task for one local folder to a Cloud service account.
In my testing, I created a sync task and loaded 2 folders (one local and another from an external storage device). The program immediately completed the task, without slowing down my system in the process.
One of the things that bothered me while testing this program was the fact that it took a while to complete the "Analyze" task. This function identifies the changes that must be made to make folders the same. Also, the application occasionally ran slow, especially when accessing its Preferences panel. more
