Countdowns is a program designed for Mac users who need to be reminded of the amount of days or time left until they reach the deadline of their projects.

This application might prove to be of good use to freelancers who wish to always keep an eye on the finishing date of the ongoing projects.

The utility brings you a very intuitive and nicely-designed interface where you can add the events you need to keep track of. Once you reach the deadline for a certain assignment or project, you can remove it from the list.

I like the fact that the program also offers you an option which, once being enabled, shows event countdown in days and time (for instance, 20 days and 5 hours).

Another good aspect about this application is that you can sync the data stored within Countdowns across multimedia devices like iPhone or iPad. Though, you need to install the iOS version of the tool on the aforementioned gadgets.

The only thing I don't like about this Mac utility is that you cannot add countdown items for recurring events.

Briefly, I'd say it's worth installing Countdowns on your Mac as long as the aforementioned flaw doesn't mean much to you. The app is very simple to use, uses hardly any CPU resources, and allows you sync its data across your iPhone and iPad.
