With this application, you can edit your documents and share them between your Mac and iOS devices, including iPhone and iPad.

Syncing of the documents can be done using your Dropbox account. Only simple text is allowed (no underlining or italicizing of text) but the program support document versioning, which can be helpful to some people out there.

The application is available through Apple's App Store. It is lightweight and installs right into your applications folder. The program's icon is rather ugly, but I can't complain too much since the program is free.

The interface is very minimalistic and mimics iOS design. There is the main window for text editing and that's it. There is no need for additional bars since the program only supports simple text (no formatting is allowed). On the other hand, the text is saved into a file that includes versioning information, which requires you to use this program to read the file. What it means, the files created in Compositions cannot be opened anywhere else (as far as I know/understand). Versioning feature could be helpful to some people but not for most.

The developers of the program mention Dropbox once or twice on their website in regard to this program. However, the program's preferences or other menus do not include a single word nor an option for Dropbox sharing. I suppose you have to install Dropbox and sign up for services - then you will be able to share documents using this program. I assume you could be using other cloud sharing environments similar to Dropbox, but I did not test that.

Overall, it is great that this program is for free because I would not spend a dime to get it.
