BannerEffect 1.3

BannerEffect is an application that helps you design sophisticated web banners.
When creating a new banner, the program lets you choose among standard dimensions used for Google ads (9 types) or it gives you the chance to customize a new size of your picture. A banner can consist of one or more slides which can be independently created. For each slide the program is divided into 3 sections: Main, Background and Transition. In the first section you can insert a picture to which you can apply a series of changes. Thus, you can set the angle of inclination and the scale in accordance with the banner’s size. Moreover, you can bring both starting and finishing effects, along with animation, each of them being timed in seconds. You can insert a text over an image with settings common to similar editor programs. To have a complete banner you need to select a background too. Here you can choose between color and image, each of them providing, at their turn, other special effects. Each change can be viewed in a mini-preview placed on the left side of the displayed window. The last step before finishing the process is choosing a transition out of 12 different styles provided. When you consider that the banner has reached your desired form, you can save it as Flash and/or HTML5 format either on HDD or directly on the website via FTP.

The program gives you the opportunity to preview your work at any stage of its creation. You can preview each slide separately or the whole banner, but it would be preferable the program to have some templates available for those who don’t have much experience. And also I would have liked to close or resize certain sections of the program. For instance, if you had the possibility to close the left pane, you would obtain more space on the page. It becomes increasingly annoying to move the cursor up and down, left and right when you use the zoom out button for making finer corrections. As a final remark, I shall say that I would look for better and perhaps cheaper similar programs before actually to buy this one.
