Animal Age is a program that converts human years to ages of various animal breeds, like dogs, cats, cows, chickens, rabbits, and ducks.
This Mac utility brings you a user-friendly and nicely-designed interface where the only thing you need to do is to enter the human years value and choose the animal breed. After a few seconds, the app displays the animal years value as well as a life expectancy graph.
Unfortunately, there are too many variables missing from this program. For instance, when converting human years to dogs age, you cannot select the dog's breed or environment it lives in (out or inside the house), facts that are very relevant when establishing the correct animal age. In my testing, I selected 2 human years and the app revealed the dog is 0 years old, an info which is not accurate at all (I consulted more than three websites).
Hence, the algorithm that's being used by this program to convert human years to animal age isn't precise.
Briefly, I'd say it's not worth installing this app on your Mac. If you need accurate info regarding your pet's (or animal) life expectancy, I'd suggest you to look for more reliable sources, like webpages or vet websites.
