TunesKit for Mac is a utility that comes in handy if you need to remove DRM protection from your iTunes movies.
The application comes with a user-friendly interface, communicates well with the iTunes utility, and supports a wide variety of video formats. What's more, it can preserve the subtitles that were attached to the imported iTunes clips as well as the video's original quality. Another important aspect is that you can process multiple clips at the same time, without slowing down the performance of your system in the process.
In my testing, the program took more than 10 minutes to convert a 4-minute clip. So, you might need to wait a while if you need to remove DRM protection and convert a large iTunes video.
Furthermore, the application is a bit pricey and requires the latest iTunes version to be installed on your Mac in order to work properly.
Hence, in my opinion, you should try a different Mac application for converting DRM protected clips from your iTunes library.
Pros
- Supports multiple output formats
- Communicates well with iTunes
- Supports drag-and-drop actions
- Preserves the quality of the original files
Cons
- Requires the latest iTunes version to be installed on your Mac
- It might take a while to convert the selected files
- Pricey
I'm using iTunes 12.5, not the latest, but TunesKit appears to work well with it. I think maybe you should make modification to the description there.
Just download the trial version and it worked flawlessly on my Macbook Pro. Both iTunes purchases and rentals can be converted. Great software! I will buy the full version.
