When downloading or purchasing content from the iTunes store, the acquired media files are DRM protected.
The application gives you access to a list with all media files which were purchased or downloaded from the iTunes store. You can choose which data to retain from the input files. To be more exact, you can preserve the subtitles, 5.1 audio tracks, and closed captions.
Another aspect I like is that this program takes a very small amount of time to remove DRM protection from the input files.
The one thing that bothers me is the fact that TunesKit for Mac supports only one output format: MP4. Other popular formats, such as MOV, AVI, MP3 or SWF are not supported.
All in all, TunesKit for Mac offers you a simple yet effective way to get rid of the DRM restrictions of media files purchased within the iTunes store. And even though it supports only one output format, I still think it's worth buying it for your Mac.

I'm using iTunes 12.5, not the latest, but TunesKit appears to work well with it. I think maybe you should make modification to the description there.
Just download the trial version and it worked flawlessly on my Macbook Pro. Both iTunes purchases and rentals can be converted. Great software! I will buy the full version.
