This program enables you to watch YouTube clips outside your web browser.

YouTube is a popular video sharing website that uses Adobe Flash Player for displaying clips. Unfortunately, watching videos from the aforementioned webpage might slow down the performance of your Mac (Adobe Flash Player uses many CPU resources).

Tubbler is a program that enables you to play YouTube clips directly from your desktop, with minimum CPU usage.

The application features a very intuitive interface, supports drag-and-drop action, and allows you to select the proper playback quality. There's only one way to add videos to the app's playlist: drag-and-drop the clip's URL from your browser over the program's main window.

Unfortunately, the developers still haven't offered an option to load YouTube playlists. Hence, you can only add clips one by one to the program's playlist.

Another aspect I don't like is that you need to use your browser to find and drag-and-drop video URLs to Tubbler. Things would be a lot easier if this application would provide an integrated search tool or browser.

Nevertheless, this program is free of charge and very simple to use. So, you can install it on your Mac, check if it meets your needs, and decide whether it's worth keeping it on your computer or not.
