Tracks is a simple Menu Bar application that provides you with an easier and quicker solution for controlling the music being played using the iTunes app. This program also brings you an efficient search tool to help you find songs on your iTunes library and play them with just one click.

The app communicates well with iTunes, offers you easy to configure settings, and displays Growl notifications whenever you change the songs being played. All you need to do in order to use this program is click its Menu Bar icon, enter the keywords of the song you wish to listen, and double-click over the correct search result.

I like that you don't have to launch the iTunes app in order to start playing the music. Tracks automatically opens the audio player after you select and double-click one of the search results.

Another good thing about this app is the fact that it lets you define your own global shortcuts. This way, you can easily pause and resume the song you're currently listening to, play the previous or next tune in playlist, increase the sound volume if necessary, etc.

To sum things up, Tracks proves to be a reliable solution for any Mac user who wish to control the music being played within iTunes with ease. The app is very simple to handle, lets you use shortcut keys to play or pause the tunes, and comes with a fair price.
