Time Out is a Mac utility created for users who need to be reminded when it's time to take breaks from their work. The tool brings you an intuitive interface, provides you with multiple helpful features, and comes without a price.
The first thing you need to do before using this tool is to enable its accessibility feature from the System Preferences utility. Afterwards, you can start scheduling breaks and configure the program's settings according to your needs.
You can define and use two types of break reminders: Micro (~15 seconds at every 15 minutes) or Normal (10 minutes at every hour). The aforementioned values are selected by default. You can alter them if needed, attach various tasks to your break profiles (actions to be completed before, during or after a break), change the appearance of the break screen, etc.
Another advantage is that the utility can skip breaks if certain tools are running. Go to the Exclusions panel and import the tools you need.
Two aspects bother me: it lacks an integrated help guide and the fact that you need to make an in-app purchase in order to manage more than 2 break profiles. Still, there's a chance you might never require any of the aforementioned features. In conclusion, you should give Time Out a shot.
Time Clock was developed to help the user keep track of time spent on a project and remind the user when to take breaks.
