Review

Time Out is a free Mac application that can help you recover your strength by reminding you to take a break from your daily activities. This easy-to-use piece of software can prove to be quite a useful tool for any Mac user, because sitting in front of our system for a long period of time is not that good for you.

Configuring the Time Out is a very simple process and, once you have accessed the "Preferences" menu (from the menu bar), you will be able to customize the two types of breaks that this applications puts at your disposal: the "Normal" break, which, by default, is a ten minute break that occurs every 50 minutes of working and the "Micro" break which are very brief and frequent breaks between the normal breaks (can be used to relax your muscles and change your eye focus level).

After you have finished configuring the Time Out, simply minimize it and, when the break starts, the screen of your Mac will start to fade out and even run a specified script or application, if selected. However, if by some chance, something important comes up during your break, you can easily resume your work with just a few clicks of a mouse.

Summarizing it all up, if you are looking for an easy-to-use Mac application that will remind you to take a break from your daily work, then you should give the Time Out a shot.
