TaskExplorer is a Mac program that enables you to monitor the running processes on your computer. This utility might help you find out more information about the tasks that are currently running on your Mac, such as hash value, size, date created or modified, etc.
Before using the application you need to enter your Mac username and password. Afterwards, the program can start fetching the information you need. Even though it might slow down the performance of your system while scanning your Mac, the offered details will surely prove to be of good use.
An important advantage is that the application also scans every running process to see if it's infected with viruses (uses the VirusTotal service). Furthermore, it can take you to the exact Finder location of the tool that's running the selected process and provide you with detailed info about the task.
You can also use the integrated search tool to find a certain process or export the offered information with just a few clicks.
However, I wouldn't recommend you to use this program if you're a beginner computer user. Altering the process settings the wrong way might damage the performance of your system.
