Sonora is a simple to use audio player that allows you to listen to your favorite music, create audio playlists that you can also share with your friends, and add covers and artworks to the digital music albums you own. This substitute to the very popular iTunes app brings you another way to enjoy playing your songs: by displaying your albums in a full grid and not like a spreadsheet.
The program offers you a considerable number of features as it supports various audio formats and drag-and-drop actions, communicates well with iTunes, comes with an effective search tool, and automatically sorts your music files according to artist and album names.
In addition, if you're logged in to your Last.FM account, everything you're listening to with Sonora is available for other users to check.
Nevertheless, I can't say Sonora is the best audio player there is. This application occasionally fails to download artwork, lacks a visualizer, and a seeker position feature is unavailable. To be honest, iTunes would still be my first choice as it provides more useful features (advanced equalizer, easy to use playlist creator, movie player, etc.).
Cutting a long story short, I believe you can find better solutions for playing your favorite tunes. In my opinion, Sonora still needs some improvement when it comes to handling equalizer and finding artwork. Therefore, I suggest you to try a more efficient audio player or stick to the one installed by default (iTunes).
Find and copy missing album artwork into iTunes that can also be used with iPod.
Used to automatically populate folder icons with the artwork contained in a folders audio files.
