Use Sonico while you’re already out exploring. Start the app when you reach a place that catches your eye, choose the nearby location or search for a landmark, then play a 1–3 minute audio clip to get the context before you move on. It fits the moments where you don’t want to join a tour group or read long articles—standing in front of a monument, wandering through an older district, or taking a detour down a side street.
Travelers can build a flexible routine around it: listen on the way to your next stop, pause when you step into a square or viewpoint, then continue walking with a clearer sense of what you just saw. Locals can use it for quick weekend walks, learning the backstory of familiar neighborhoods without planning a full itinerary. Because guides are purchased individually, it works well for short trips, layovers, or spontaneous outings where you only need a few key explanations.
Language support makes it practical in mixed groups. One person can play the guide in English while another listens in Mandarin, Japanese, French, Korean, Arabic, German, Italian, or Spanish to follow along comfortably. Over time you can revisit places, replay guides to catch details you missed, and pick new locations as you explore. A discovery radar is expected later to help surface lesser-known spots, and the current iOS Beta is suited for on-foot use during real city walks, with Android planned next.
