Song Sergeant is a program designed to help you find and delete song duplicates with minimum effort.
Once you launch the app, Song Sergeant automatically scans your iTunes libraries and checks if there are any duplicated tunes. The tool immediately shows you the scan results and you can decide whether to send the duplicates to Trash or move them to an "Unkept" playlist.
A good thing is that the program can merge the best tune information with the best audio data when it comes to dealing with duplicates.
An important disadvantage of Song Sergeant is that it scans only iTunes libraries. Therefore, you can't look for duplicated songs or rename tunes located on your internal or external drives.
Cutting a long story short, you can find more adequate solutions for finding and eradicating tunes duplicates. To me, the aforementioned flaw proves to be an annoying aspect since I have to pay to use the application and it cannot scan folders within my Mac or any connected external device, like iPod or USB stick.
