Simplenote is a simple program that provides you with an easy way to manage your ideas, lists, notes, etc. This application comes with a straightforward interface, lets you sort ideas based on tags, and enables you to print notes directly from its interface.
You can write whatever comes to your mind after clicking the + button from the upper side of the screen. Once you finish your note, you can attach tags; and by doing so, you simplify the ideas searching process as you can put your memos into groups (according to their correspondent tags).
Another advantage of working with Simplenote is that it automatically saves your notes as you type. In addition, the app also backs up all of your ideas, allows you to share them with other users, and lets you sync the notes with your media devices for free.
Personally, I didn't like the fact that the program doesn't offer you an option to attach images or videos to written notes. The memos can include only text content.
Nevertheless, this application is free of charge, so you can just install it and check if it meets your requirements. If not, you can find plenty of other alternatives to managing notes on Mac that are also without a price tag.
