This utility is, as its name clearly suggests, a simple application for keeping track of your notes. You can use this program to manage your to-do lists, write comments for your current projects, enter diary notes, and so much more.
Simplenote comes with a user-friendly interface, features an efficient search utility, and allows you to print your notes directly from its main window. Before using this program on your Mac you need to create a personal account. You can do that from the app's interface and no URL validation is required.
Every note or to-do item you add to its records, Simplenote automatically stores it in your personal account. So, no data is lost if you decide to uninstall the app on your Mac. Furthermore, the program automatically sorts the stored notes into groups based on the tags you attach to each entry. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide you with the ability to sort your tasks into groups.
The application also lacks options to export notes or to alter font style (you can only adjust the size of the font).
Since the Simplenote is free, I see no harm in trying it on your Mac and then decide if it's the program for you or not.
