SimpleCap is a simple-to-handle Menu Bar application that enables you to take snapshots of your screen. This Mac program also provides you with an easy way to take screenshots of your Dashboard widgets, all windows from a launched app, or the main menu of software running on your Mac.
You can work with this tool whenever you need an offline copy of a certain webpage, you wish to capture a certain problem of your system for getting support on the matter, or you require to advertise developed software. The app sits quietly on your Menu Bar from where you can select which type of screenshot you need to take, select a destination folder for the snapshots, and much more.
I like the fact that the program comes with a timer feature. Hence, you can configure the app to take a snapshot of your screen or launched software after a certain amount of time.
The only thing that bothers me about this application is that it doesn't let you set global hotkeys for each type of snapshot.
Even though the program comes with a disadvantage, I still believe it's worth trying SimpleCap. The app offers you plenty of useful features, allows you to preview the results before saving them, and comes without a price tag.
