Sharks 3D

Sharks 3D 1.2

This program displays shark animations on your desktop.
1.3.1 (See all)

Sharks 3D is a program that displays an underwater animation with sharks and various small fish on your screen. This application provides you with various display settings which you can easily configure according to your needs, works on multiple monitors, and displays high-quality 3D graphics on your desktop.

From the Preferences menu of the app, you can select the preferred shark specie (only one available for free), landscape (only one available for free), and display and sound settings. I like the fact that the program lets you change camera mode from static to dynamic; this way, you can explore the entire scene.

In addition, when enabling the screensaver mode you can set a master password which is requested each time there's an attempt at accessing what's on your desktop. This feature might prove to be of good use if you wish to prevent unauthorized users from disabling screensaver mode.

The only thing that bothers me about this desktop utility is that it uses a notable amount of CPU resources. Furthermore, you need to make some in-app purchases in order to have access to all Sharks 3D features (they're pretty cheap though).

As for the rest, the application offers you excellent quality animations, a suitable background music, and many other useful features. Hence, it's definitely worth installing this program on your Mac.
