Read Later 2.0

Read Later is a great desktop client for the Read It Later service. It also supports Instapaper, but you need to buy a subscription to use that service.

Both services allow you to save a website so that you can read it later. I do this all the time when I read my RSS news. When I find something worth reading, I save it to Read It Later and then I can read that on my phone. You can read the articles on your list from the Read It Later website, but its design isn't the best around. Now, with Read Later, you can access all your articles straight from your Mac. The design of the application resembles that of a news reader, which is great. All your articles are listed in a center pane. When you click on one, the full article will be opened on the right pane. You can choose to hide everything in the window except for the article, which makes it easier for you to concentrate on it. Also, the application has a built-in web browser, which you can use to browse the article and any hypertext links that it may have.

In short, Read Later is a great app that any Read It Later user will appreciate. It works like a charm and it is free.
