PONS Dictionary Library is a program intended for Mac users who wish to translate words between various languages. This application might come in handy if you plan a trip to a foreign country and require some assistance for talking to locals.
You have access to an integrated search tool that helps you find the words you wish to translate within the app's records along with their correspondent translation and explanation. The program also provides you with several expression examples containing the word you wish to transcribe.
Another good thing about this tool is the fact that it offers you a list of synonyms for every word searched. What's more, you can create a Favorites list where you can add translated words for later use.
Even though on its Mac App Store homepage it's stated that this app is free of charge, you might have a bit of a surprise when launching the program. You need to make some in-app purchases in order to have access to all of its dictionaries (you only have access to an English to German dictionary, with a small number of word explanations).
As a conclusion, I'd suggest you to try other programs for translating words between different languages. I say this mainly because some of the in-app purchases don't come out as cheap, and you can quite easily find similar programs that cost a lot less than this tool's integrated dictionaries.
Includes word entries and audio pronunciations recorded by native speakers.
