Pinta is a smart and easy-to-use program that enables you to create paintings on your Mac. You are able to create paintings from scratch on a blank page or you can add a photo and modify it.
Every time you start a new project, Pinta will ask you to choose the image height and width.

After you choose the size of the painting, you can start drawing. The program provides many tools that will help you create outstanding drawings. You have different brush stiles and sizes at your disposal.

A great thing about this program is that you can create different layers and you can edit each one of them separately without affecting the whole drawing.
After you finish a drawing you are able to make different adjustments to its brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, lines and others. You can also apply different effects such as blurs, distort, noise, photo glow and others. When you apply an effect, Pinta allows you to choose its intensity.
