PhotoScissors 1.2

This Mac application was designed to help you extract any object or person from your photos and save the results as PNG images.

You don't need much image editing experience to obtain the output you require as this program provides you with a straightforward interface and easy to configure settings.

Similar apps enable you to use the Magic Wand or Lasso utilities to cut an image background. This application offers you a much easier way to complete the aforementioned task: you can use the integrated red (foreground area) and green (background area) markers and indicate which areas you wish to keep from the picture.

I like the fact that you don't need to carefully trace the red and green markers over the pictures. You must draw the lines (red and green) in such way they touch the colors that you wish to become transparent (red) or extract from the photo (green).

The only aspect I don't like about PhotoScissors is that it works with a small amount of image formats, like JPEG, PNG, and TIFF. File formats like DNG, PSD or HDR aren't supported yet.

All in all, PhotoScissors is more than an average picture crop utility. The app is very simple to handle, offers you the results you require in a matter of seconds, and comes with a reasonable price.
