Adding the source files to the list pane is done easily, either by dragging and dropping them or by pressing the corresponding 'Add file' button. The result of the text conversion process is of a good quality.
I personally didn't encounter errors in recognizing the written content or preserving most of the original layout. In this sense, the paragraphs within the new document are clearly separated, the text bullets are still there, and the initial delimitation of pages is outlined. In addition, the software recognizes the text within tables and exports it to an editable file type.
Furthermore, you have the ability to set the range of pages you wish to convert. So, if you deal with large files, you are not constrained to export the entire content. Just select the desired pages and the program will transfer the text according to the page selection. The generous appearance of the preview is also of great help when determining specific pages for the conversion. Unfortunately, the conversion of the content of a selected paragraph is not provided.
Another drawback would be that the app is not able to preserve the font size or style – no matter whether the original text is underlined, italicized, or bolded, the resulting content will ignore these features.
In general, the program is good, mainly because it is free and easy to use. It is designed for home users who intend to get a clean text out of a PDF document.
