Osmos is an exciting game developed by Hemisphere Games. The graphic engine is simple and well-polished, and together with the soundtracks and sound effects that come with the game, provides a different gaming experience.
The gameplay is based on a fundamental principle of Physics (Newton's third law of action-reaction). Basically, the player controls a lifeform, which has the shape of a sphere and has to assimilate other lifeforms. In order to move around, the player must eject mass from its sphere, and looses a bit from its size, but gains more size as it assimilates other spheres. As the player progresses through the game, more lifeforms appear and move faster, making it more difficult to absorb them. When the player has managed to assimilate most of the spheres, he wins the level and advances to the next. By pressing A and D keys, the player can slow down or increase the speed of the passing time. The customization of the game is poor to non-existent, as the players are only allowed to modify the controls in the game.
All taken into consideration, it is safe to say that Osmos is an exciting game; it offers a different gaming experience.
You feel like a part of this great universe. The game is incredible with its gorgeous graphics and relaxing music. But you've got to be very patient to go through it.
