NameChanger is designed for the sole purpose of renaming a list of files. The present version introduces Quick Look and inline name changing. Quick Look selects a row in the table, hits the space bar and opens the document, just like from the Finder, while Inline Name Changes modifies any files name right in the table on a file by file basis.
Performing simple actions and respecting a few rules, all your files will be renamed as displayed. You will be informed of any files that could not be modified.
If you need more options renaming your files, the solution is to open the options pallet by clicking the options button. From here you can hide the file extensions, ignore case, force uniqueness of resulting names or change the checked and selected files.
