MacAppStuff Spoof MAC is a little utility that lets you change your MAC address. As you may know, every networking device has a MAC address that identifies it on a network. Sometimes, the need might arise to change this MAC address to duplicate another device in the network to replace it. For example, cablemodem users often need to change their MAC addresses to get a new IP. Well, this application lets you easily change that value, and it even lets you generate a random MAC address every time you launch it.
The main window shows a couple of fields with network information. There is the Interface field, which is a drop-down menu that lets you choose the network device you want to see information for. Below that is the current IP address, subnet mask, and at the bottom you see both the device MAC address and the new MAC. In the "New MAC" field, you are supposed to type the new address that you want to use. Or you can click on "Random", which will randomly generate one for you.
From the Preferences window, you can set the application to start when you power on your Mac and to generate a MAC address automatically each time you run the app.
