2048 is a puzzle game that gained a lot of popularity in 2014. Since then, dozens of spin-offs were created by developers from all over the world. One of them is called Just 2048, an app that comes with rules identical to the ones from the original game and an intuitive interface.
When you start a new game, only 2 numbers will appear on the board. Each tile has a number (powers of 2 from 1) and once two identical blocks collide they merge into a single cell showing the correspondent sum. Your objective is to attain the 2048 tile on the board.
You can obtain tiles larger than 2048. The highest score will be automatically saved and shown on the upper side of the screen.
An important advantage is that the app saves your gameplay progress. This means that you can quit Just 2048 and resume the gameplay whenever you like without losing your progress.
I tested many 2048 games from the Mac App Store. Many of the games displayed annoying ads (required an in-app purchases in order to get rid of the advertisements) or had banning time limitations (play X rounds and then you need to wait Y time to start a new game). That's not the case with Just 2048.
So, I'd say you should give this game a try since it doesn't bring you the aforementioned flaws, is very simple to handle, and comes without a price tag.
