Diamond Detective is an enjoyable match-3 game in which you must create chains of gems of the same color to collect clues that help you catch a thief. To create a chain, you just need to click on adjacent gems of the same color. On each level, you will need to create a certain number of chains to fill a meter called "Vault meter" and get to the next level. The chains must have at least two gems, and the longer they are the quicker you will fill the meter. There is also a "thief meter", which shows how fast the thief is moving to escape. You must pay attention to this meter because if you take too much time to fill the "vault meter", the thief will escape and the game is over. When you finish a level, you will be given a clue to find the thief. After five levels, you will need to eliminate the suspects using the clues you have collected. Then, you will play the pursuit level, in which you must turn all tiles to gold by making chains with the gems. Once the tiles are all gold, the thief will be arrested. If you no longer can form any chains, you can use the "shuffle" button to rearrange the tiles on the board, but this will increase the speed of the thief. There are also special power-up gems that can help you finish the levels more easily. You can also get several trophies by completing the levels under certain conditions. The game features simple but nice graphics, average sounds, and suitable music. In short, if you are looking for an enjoyable match-3 game with original gameplay, Diamond Detective may be a nice choice.
