iTunification gets the track name, artist, and album name of the currently-playing iTunes or Spotify song and shows it in Mountain Lion’s new Notification Center or Growl depending on your preference and Growl availability. iTunification only supports OS X 10.8 for now. If you want your notifications to be always displayed, it is as simple as checking a box in preferences menu.
