iTalk Sync 1.0

iTalk Sync is an application that makes using iTalk on the iPhone easier. iTalk is an audio recorder that was released for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

It is an excellent application but it has to live with some limitations on the iOS platform. One of those limitations is that you can't just grab files from the iPhone and put them on your computer; not easily, anyway. Instead, you have to e-mail your recordings hoping that they will fit in an e-mail. iTalk Sync is a workaround to that problem. It installs on your Mac or Windows PC and it allows you to create a wireless connection between your iPhone and your computer to transfer your recordings.

For it to work, your computer and the iPhone have to be on the same network and both platforms have to be running the iTalk apps (iTalk on the iPhone or iPod Touch and iTalk Sync on Windows or Mac). When a connection is made, you can simply drag and drop recordings from your iPhone to the computer, and they will be saved. The transfer is several times faster than e-mailing. I managed to get both versions of the app connected and transfered recordings in no time. The user interface was intuitive and responsive.
