ImElfin Tunes Cleaner for Mac proves to be a reliable solution to users who are dealing with large music collections and require a simple way to organize their song libraries. This utility enables you to scan iTunes libraries or local directories and find the songs missing metadata or artworks, duplicated tunes, etc.
Even though iTunes offers you many file management options, I still think there's room for improvement. For instance, it helps you find duplicated items but it doesn't provide you with an option to reveal the tracks with incomplete metadata. I use iTunes on a daily basis and still have issues finding the settings I need (like the built-in duplicate finder).
ImElfin Tunes Cleaner for Mac scans your entire iTunes library or any local folder and reveals a list with all songs that are missing metadata details or artworks. You can manually edit the details, scan libraries for duplicates, and so on.
Another great thing about this program is that it lets you edit the metadata of DRM protected songs (music purchased within the iTunes store). Not many Mac apps enable you to complete the aforementioned task.
The one thing that bothers me is that the app lacks options to select all or none of the found files. It might take a while to select the items you wish to fix if the program manages to find dozens of songs with missing metadata.
In conclusion, it's worth buying this feature-rich application. Besides the fact that it helps you get rid of duplicates from your local folders and iTunes libraries, this utility also offers you a very simple and efficient way to organize your music and edit metadata and artworks info.
