The video recordings can be saved into MOV and MP4 with the desired resolution. The tool doesn't allow you to set a custom resolution, but, at least, you have the chance to select a preset among high, medium, or low quality. The video capture may record the mouse movements and the sound from a microphone input. It seems that recording the system's audio is not available with the free version of Icecream Screen Recorder. The screenshots can be exported to PNG and JPG image formats. The program comes with an extended annotation toolset that allows you to add text, arrows, lines, ordinary shapes, and markers, so you can emphasize specific issues on your captures.

Providing both video and image capturing modes, this application helps you take quality captures of your screen. Unfortunately, with the free version of Icecream Screen Recorder you can record only 5 minutes of screen activity, a restriction that can be removed if upgrading to the pro version.
