Hosting AU is a micro-sized Digital Audio Workstation for Mac OSX that hosts Audio Unit instruments and effect plugins. This application comes with 4ch 1 mixer with external audio input, 24-bit recorder, music-typing kind of feature called as “LazyKey".

I have hearing loss - certain frequencies (from about 1kHz up) the higher the frequency, the less I can hear it. Hosting AU changes all that. I've set the EQ to compensate for the loss and pass all my computer audio through it.
Now I can wear headphones and hear the full spectrum of sound in the films I make, or any other audio for that matter. Fantastic!
